The mk5 Fiesta Zetec-S, ‘S’ for Sport was made by Ford from 1999-2002. With a 1.6 16v Sigma engine producing 101 bhp, the model also had changes to its suspension lowered -20mm, stiffer anti roll bars, bigger brakes with ABS, multispoke alloy wheels, rounded sports bumpers and side skirts. Giving the Fiesta Zetec-S model its unique look.
There are a Phase One and a Phase Two version, Phase One being 1999-2001 and Phase Two from 2001-2002 but vary on when the car was made and then registered. The obvious differences were the alloy wheels, the Phase 1 has solid centre caps covering the wheel nuts and then engine being a silver top with a slightly different bottom end over the later black top Zetec-SE engine used in the phase 2. The other differences are in the interior, the Phase 1 Zetec-S having a grey grey interior, where as the Phase 2 having a darker interior.
